Special Access stalls are barrier free, the threshold dam having only a slight lip to promote wheelchair accessibility. Optional style with no threshold lip is available for minimum interference and flush finished requirements. Standard 1 1/2" threshold dam- 1/2" lip height after installation of finish floors. Lip provides resistance against water overflow. NL- (No Lip) Models Flush finish 1-1/2" threshold - for flush height after finish floor installation. Perfectly smooth transition to the outside floor, but provides little barrier to water inside the unit. Optional collapsable rubber retaining dam can be added for extra water protection. Inquire for pricing. Both style bottoms are supported with ARP unique pre-leveled resin support system. Fold up seats on ADA units are made of sanitary resin slats with simulated wood pattern, and stainless steel. Seats and grab bars are available individually. Contact ARP for pricing. Sides are reinforced with wood paneling in the seat and grab bar areas for strength and stability. Upper portions of the units are reinforced with urethane foam laminated between the fiberglass layers to lighten weight for ease of handling and installation. ARP units are made to comply with specifications set forth as a result of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Before specifying a particular unit, check local building codes for accessibility requirements in your area. Grab Bar Configurations Different configuration grab bars are available, and hardware may be installed to custom specifications. Grab bars and seats may also be purchased individually.
